Starting the year with a family concert in Warkworth, the orchestra will then make its first visit to Helensville in August. Plans for a concert there last year were stymied by the discovery of asbestos at the War Memorial Hall, necessitating significantly more extended renovations by Auckland Council than planned. 

Kate Rendall features in Warkworth with the Idillio Concertante for Oboe and Orchestra by Wolf-Ferrari.

Flute soloist Emily Rendall returns from wonderful performances last year to play the Flute Concerto in G by Gluck in both Warkworth and Helensville.

​

The programme for the Auckland Heritage Festival concert in September will focus on orchestral dance music in early Auckland, from Joplin to Gershwin, and selected gems from our heritage music collection. Details will appear on the festival web site.
